Chinua Achebe's novel, Points Fall Apart, is known as a tragic tale about the rise and fall of Okonkwo. The story takes place in Umuofia, a cluster of villages in Niger throughout the 1890's. the Umuofians are known for being a notorious war family with many members, advanced social institutions, and phenomenal practices. Chinua Achebe educated his readers through the entire novel by capitalizing on traditional importance's in Nigerian background, like if the Europeans penetrated Niger and basic background about African culture and traditions.
In the beginning with the novel, Okonkwo and his daddy are the general focus and the readers begin to see their particular father вЂ“ son romantic relationship. Okonkwo is often criticizing his father as being lazy, weak, and unmotivated to do points. Okonkwo sights these qualities as girly, so this individual never really perceives his daddy as a real man.
