The Man in the Well

Simply by Ira Sher

The entire time I was reading this tale I could not decide how I actually felt. The earliest paragraph draws you in when the narrator mentions the day he learned the man inside the well. Is actually immediately mentioned how the man calls out for help, but skips to how the young man and his friends thought it was critical that they decided not to save him. This section almost quickly forces one to do a dual take. When you initially start reading and learn about the man trapped in the very well your mind automatically starts considering how you would get him out.
