Describe & compare the fundamental contributions of Maslow & Herzberg towards the understanding of worker motivation. We now have basic requirements which, when not met, trigger us to get dissatisfied. Meeting these demands does not make us pleased, it only prevents all of us from turning out to be dissatisfied. There exists a separate pair of needs which in turn, when resolved, do make all of us satisfied. These are called motivators. This theory is also called Herzberg's two-factor theory. Herzberg asked people about times when they had believed good of the work. This individual discovered that the real key determinants of job fulfillment were Success, Recognition, Operate itself, Responsibility and Progression. He also found that crucial dissatisfiers were Company insurance plan and government, Supervision, Earnings, Interpersonal relationships and Working conditions. This individual refers to these people as Hygiene factors. Care factors derive from the need for a business to avoid the signs at work. If perhaps these factors are considered limited by workers, then they might cause dissatisfaction with work.
